Ruben Saint Paul Recognized as a Rising Star by Plastics News

Natech’s Automation Engineer, Ruben Saint Paul, Recognized for Plastics News’ Rising Stars 2024

At Natech Plastics, we pride ourselves on fostering an environment where talent and innovation thrive. We are proud to celebrate one of our own: Ruben Saint Paul, Automation Engineer, has been named a Rising Star of 2024 by Plastics News. This honor recognizes young professionals who are making significant contributions to the plastics industry—and Ruben exemplifies what it means to lead with purpose, skill, and vision.

Engineering with Purpose

Ruben’s passion for engineering began at home. Inspired by his father—a fellow engineer—Ruben pursued mechanical engineering at Stony Brook University, where he earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees with a focus in robotics. That foundation, paired with his natural curiosity and drive, has fueled a career built on growth and continuous learning.

His first exposure to the plastics industry was through an internship with Natech, where he showed his eagerness to take on complex challenges. Today, as an Automation Engineer, he designs and implements cutting-edge automation systems that blend mechanical design, electrical engineering, and programming to optimize production.

Innovating for the Future

Ruben’s work is helping shape the future of manufacturing. From deploying vision systems and robotic manipulators to refining automation processes that support medical and diagnostics manufacturing, his contributions directly enhance our team’s quality, precision, and efficiency.

His curiosity also extends beyond day-to-day projects. He’s especially intrigued by emerging fields like electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicles (EVTOLs), where plastics play a key role in aerospace innovation. By connecting new technologies with practical applications, Ruben has a clear eye on the future.

Mentorship and Collaboration

Beyond his technical accomplishments, Ruben is passionate about mentoring the next generation of engineers, both within Natech and the broader community. As a proud alumnus of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Ruben continues to mentor students, offering career guidance and championing diversity in STEM fields.

At Natech, Ruben is inspired by his mentor, Joshua Romero. He credits much of his own growth to strong mentorship and leads by example—always eager to learn, collaborate, and uplift those around him.

Recognizing Outstanding Talent

Ruben’s recognition as a Rising Star by Plastics News reflects not only his individual achievements but to the leadership and curiosity he brings to the industry. We are immensely proud of his accomplishments and look forward to seeing how his career continues to flourish. Congratulations to Ruben Saint Paul for this well-deserved honor. We hope to continue developing leaders who drive the our industry forward.
