For Complex Products and Smaller Parts, Natech Introduces New Laser Welder to Facility

For Immediate Release

Ronkonkoma, NY, December 29

Natech is introducing a new laser welder to its facility. Laser welding is a practice in which plastics are joined together to create a weld using a laser beam. Where other conventional methods fall short, laser welding has become a top choice in manufacturing because of its speed, productivity, and high level of control. Laser welding is highly accurate, which means it can even weld smaller parts together without leaving damage. The welding method also produces more repeatable, consistent, and stronger weld seams.

With the increasing need for this service, Natech hopes to serve leaders in the medical, diagnostics, and biotechnology spaces. The special features of the laser welder will allow Natech to help clients with more complex requirements, work on smaller parts, and adapt to different project phases and quantities.

The welding contour can be programmed in the CNC code and other parameters like laser output and speed can be easily specified. Once set up, the system runs on its own.

Despite the small processing cell, the welding surface or traverse path measures 100 x 100 mm. The fully integrated system has a maximum traverse speed of 200 mm/s, maximum clamping force of 2350 N, and a maximum clamping stroke of 20 mm.
