March Employee Recognition: Vilma Alvarado

I am nominating Vilma because she is a excellent and dedicated worker. She’s a master of everything, including pad printing and operating the machine. She’s always excited to learn how to do new jobs.

Q: What do you do at Natech?

I am a machine operator, so I work on packing pieces and cleaning the machines. I’m always looking for more things to learn. Whenever people are busy, I try to help, whether its helping the operators pack parts or helping people in office so things can happen more quickly.

Q: What’s your favorite part about working at Natech?

I like all aspects of working here. I love my job because I get to learn new jobs, like taking pieces from the mold and degating them, working with the new filling and sealing machines, and assembling parts. I like learning different skills through these new jobs at Natech.

Q: What is something that most people might not know about you?

I wear my Natech T-shirt outside of work a lot, like in the supermarket, and random people will ask me what I work for and what do we do. I tell them we are a company that used to make things like perfume caps, but now we do jobs for medical and diagnostic parts. 

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?

In my free time, I like to clean around the house. It’s cold right now, so I can’t go many places outside. When it’s summertime, my family and I like to go to the mall, the park, the beach, and go on vacation. I recently went to Niagara Falls with my sons and husband.

Q: What motivates you?

I’m motivated because I get to learn new jobs all the time. If I know how to do certain tasks, then I am able to help other people and show them how to do those tasks. I really like to teach people and show them how to do things. Sometimes, I teach the operators how to pack the parts more quickly and efficiently.

Q: What are your favorite Natech memories?

I love when we get to spend time with everyone in the company, like when we go the park during the summer for picnics and have the Christmas party in December.

Q: What’s one thing that you can’t live without?

I can’t live without food. I love rice, chicken, and zucchini. And all kinds of beans, like black beans, white beans, and red beans.

It’s a great company. The company and the people here are understanding, generous, and they take care of us.
