At Natech Plastics, we take pride in our talented team members who drive innovation and excellence in the plastics industry. This year, we are thrilled to celebrate Sarah Worsham, our Senior Automation Engineer, who has been recognized in Plastics News’ prestigious “Women Breaking the Mold 2024” series. This honor highlights her exceptional contributions to the automation field and her impactful career at Natech.

Sarah’s journey in the plastics industry began after earning her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Stony Brook University. She was drawn to the field by the opportunity to work on complex challenges and cutting-edge technologies that are not widely covered in traditional engineering curricula. Her passion for learning and problem-solving quickly set her apart.

Starting as an intern at Natech, Sarah made a remarkable impression by leading a major automation project that won Natech a 2022 MAPP Innovation Award. This early success was just the beginning of her accomplishments. As a Senior Automation Engineer, Sarah now plays a pivotal role in designing and implementing automation solutions that integrate mechanical, electrical, and programming elements. Her work ensures precision, efficiency, and innovation in Natech’s manufacturing processes.

Reflecting on her career, Sarah credits much of her growth to her mentor, Joshua Romero. “Josh has been instrumental in both my professional and personal development,” she shared. “He’s taught me the skills I need to excel and has always been there with helpful advice. I’m incredibly grateful for his guidance.”

Sarah’s recognition as one of the “Women Breaking the Mold” is a testament to her leadership, technical expertise, and dedication to advancing the plastics industry. Her story also highlights the importance of mentorship and the opportunities available at Natech for those eager to grow and innovate.

Join us in celebrating Sarah’s achievements and the bright future she represents for women in the plastics industry. Her journey inspires us all to continue pushing boundaries and breaking molds.
